Daille is performing with an original band mate from Rites of Passage, Mark Turner, drummer/percussionist. Several acts are on the bill: Bridge Johnson, A Class Act; Arnetta Johnson & Subito Sound; Two Doo Wop Groups, Quiet Storm from Philadelphia and Choice, Jersey City's Bad Boys; and Jazzy Bear & Friends. "Jazzy Bear" refers to Andrew Hinton, saxophonist and composer, who also was Daille's original sax player with Rites of Passage. Music Promoter Seifullah Shabazz has hosted this event for 16 years, and it has been a mainstay in the Passaic/Paterson community, featuring many local acts including Ron Foster & Kindred Spirits, Madame Pat Tandy, Joy Foster, Carlos Francis, and of course, Daille Kettrell's Rites of Passage.
The Church of the Assumption is at 35 Orange Ave. at the corner of Huron Ave. Please contact: Seifullah Shabazz at 973-478-4124 for additional details where tickets are sold.
